Guelph General Hospital
Dr. Ian Digby
GWPA Physician Lead

I am a full-time Emergency Physician at GGH since 2002. I support GWPA and the OHT because this is a unique opportunity to align our region's many excellent health care services, and create a system that works compassionately, effectively and efficiently for patients and providers.
Palmerston & District Hospital
Dr. Christine Peterkin
Greetings! I am a rural family physician practicing in the town of Drayton , Ontario since 2003. I am affiliated with Palmerston and District Hospital supporting the hospitalist, emergency, surgical and obstetric departments and also work in Long Term Care. It excites me to be part of GWPA as the advancement of healthcare excellence is something near and dear to my heart. To be able to collaborate with my peers and learn from each other is extremely rewarding.

Dr. Rob Norrie
I have been living and practicing medicine in Elora-Fergus for the past 20 years. I am the lead physician for our FHO and continue to provide hospital, obstetrical and ED coverage. In addition to my medical practice, I have found great reward in teaching medical learners, which has become a great way to showcase rural and comprehensive medicine.

Dr. Julie Weinstein

I have been practicing as a rural family physician since 2010, most recently in Mount Forest since 2018. As part of the Claire Stewart Medical Clinic and Louise Marshall Hospital since 2018, I have a family practice clinic, I work in the emergency department, GP oncology and as hospitalist, and also care for patients in long term care. Being part of GWPA allows me to play a role in the delivery of health care in our region, in the ways best suited for our unique patient population.
Guelph Family Health Team
Dr. Will Ruddock

Family physician working in office practice, LTC and palliative care. Back in Guelph, working and chasing after two kids, since 2008.
Why GWPA: I'm excited to work with GWPA to realize the early vision of Ontario Health Teams. We have great potential to add a collective physician voice to health care planning in the Guelph area. We can find a way to work together as physicians to create a community of care and to work with partners on local problems and local solutions.
Guelph General Hospital
Dr. Dean Raso
I have been working at GGH at an intensivist and general internist full time since 2012. I was involved in the early stages of planning for GWPA beginning in 2019 and have re-joined the steering committee as part of the GGH Professional Staff Association executive. GWPA offers an opportunity for local medical experts to work together to affect positive change in our community!

bring exemplary and accessible care to our area.

Dr. Kevin Samson
GW OHT Clinical Lead for Digital Health and Privacy and Security

As a family doc practicing in Guelph for 35 years I’ve seen amazing changes in healthcare. Having a special interest in digital health, it’s been exciting to see how innovation can help improve care. With the formation of our OHT, we need to ensure that physicians have a strong voice in determining OHT priorities and objectives. Through GWPA we can help ensure that we stay focussed on care delivery that is in the best interest of providers, patients and our community.
